re-vamping the "mom" uniform

I’ve recently realized that rolling out of bed and taking my son to school is not necessarily the best decision. Like, “Oh heyyy, here I am…” in pajamas, sunglasses, and flip-flops. Picking up bagels on a Sunday morning… maybe. School, not so much. Not only because I face his teachers daily and I should KIND of look like I have together, but because it’s a really nice way of starting the day with a fresh, cute outfit. And not to mention, if I have any errands to run in between drop off and pick up, I’m ready and dressed for the day.

I’m having a hard time staying away from ANTHEM style + gift… ha ha I say that like it’s a bad thing. Ir’s actually quite the opposite. I ended up with a bunch of new clothes from Cori’s store recently, and they’re perfect for my daily mom “stuff”. Drop-offs included.

I’m talking specifically about this killer outfit I put together the other day. A yellow Free People tank (cue the swooning) and distressed jeans by Blank NYC. I’ve gone into Cori’s store a number of times… and this yellow tank has ALWAYS been a favorite of mine, for whatever reason I always ended up leaving without it. Until last week that is! This fluid little piece came home with me, and I couldn’t be more excited about it. First of all, the color is UH-MAZING. Seriously flattering on any skin tone and body type. I’m wearing a medium strictly because I wanted it lose fitting, but I’m sure a tighter fit would look great too!

These jeans are great too… and I say that cautiously because I have a love-hate relationship with jeans, as most women do I’m sure. Distressed denim is where it’s at though. And I love how transitional they are from spring to summer and summer to fall.

Accessories are almost always my favorite thing to shop for. This haul was no different than any other… I ended up with sunglasses, a necklace, a bag, shoes, and ANOTHER S’well bottle. I can’t get enough of Quay Australia sunnies! I’ve said it before in a previous post, but these just are the best. No snagging in the hair, and really comfortable.

The necklace is a Larissa Loden piece. I’m a sucker for anything turquoise, and I just loved how it went with the banana yellow color of the tank.

I’m pretty sure I’ve mentioned before about Baggu bags, but I’ll have to say it again… I LOVE their bags. Can’t go wrong with camo either! It’s absolutely a neutral and I don’t care what anyone says!

As for the shoes… I’m not necessarily a shoe chick. I never was, I actually prefer to be barefoot. But unfortunately, no shoes – no service. So I found my happy medium with these Dolce Vita flats. Easy to kick off and super cute when it’s absolutely necessary to wear shoes!

And finally, the S’well bottle. If you don’t know about these, you NEED to
get on it. They’re my FAVE. They keep your cold drinks cold for 24 hours, and your hot ones hot for 12 hours. And that is absolutely 100% accurate. Cori stocks small, medium, and large sized bottles, both with really great prints. I kept it neutral (as per usual) and picked out a gray one this time.

Side note about s’well that I feel like I have to share: S’well is a supporter of the U.S. fund for UNICEF and since 2015, they’ve donated $200,000 to help provide CLEAN water to children around the world. I love companies that give back, and this as been added to my favorite list because of this!

Moms with littles- you have like 3 more weeks of school left. Get into ANTHEM style + gift. You’ll probably be making more appearances now with end of the year parties and conferences! Make sure those outfits are on point!
